Before I have shared about Tourism Destination in Tenggarong and now I would like to share about Tourism Destination in Samarinda. By the way, Samarinda is the capital of the Indonesian province of East Kalimantan on the island of Borneo.
Sooo, let's see Tourism Destination in Samarinda....
1. Traditional Oil of Banteng
This is the first time for me to visit in here. Because this is the first time I heard Samarinda has traditional oil.
We can see the way of making traditional oil with the natural ingredients. The price is also cheap. They able sell 3000 botol per-month.
2. Kampung Tenun Samarinda
Samarinda has its own characteristics and the most famous is Samarinda weaving sarong. The center of handicraft sarong Samarinda is Kampung Tenun Samarinda located south of Samarinda, precisely in Samarinda Seberang. Samarinda sarongs have been around for a long time. Kampung Tenun Samarinda belongs to two categories, namely tourist destinations and cultural heritage.
The production of this woven sarong as a whole is done by human labor, from giving yarn color, spinning, weaving, to washing, all done traditionally without using machine. Due to still using traditional looms and simple, the process of making this sarong weaving Samarinda takes about two to three month. That's what causes a Samarinda weaving sarong with a fairly expensive price.
The patterns and colors produced from the woven sarongs produced by Kampung Tenun Samarinda are very diverse. Like for example Lebba Suasa which is the first style made by the weaving craftsmen Samarinda. There is another Kamummu (Hatta) which is a combination of blue and black. And many more.
3. Islamic Center Mosque
Islamic Center Mosque is the second biggest mosque in South East Asia, after Istiqal Mosque in Jakarta. Construcing process of Islamic Center begin on June 5 2001 and legalized by The Sixth President, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on June 16 2008.
There are 7 towers in there. The main tower is 99 meter high. The outher wall painted with "Lafadz Asmaul Husna", visitor can see the view of Samarinda City frpm above the main tower used the elevator.

There are 4 towers stood at the corner of this mosque. Their high are 66 meters. While in front of this musque, there are 2 towers called as Twins Towers. The twins tower are shorter than other.There is also a "Bedug" with diameters 1,8 meter. The mosque has some facility, such as an elevator, escalator, kindergarten, library, and clinic.
4. Citra Niaga
Citra Niaga is one of central business In Samarinda. Citra Niaga was build on Agust 27 1987. The area of this place is 2,7 hectars. In here we can see a lot of souvenirs such as, bag, neckless, bracelet, tshirt, key chain and many more. Citra Niaga ever gets reward Internasional Aga Khan Award for Achitecture (AKAA) in 1989.
One of my friend from China bought a bag typical of Kalimantan.
5. Mahakam River Cruise
We will see and get around in Mahakam River by Boat. We can see closer Mahakam and Mahulu Bridge and also we can see one of mall in Samarinda is Big Mall.
In the inside of boat a lot of facility that provide such as mushola, toilet, table, chair, and also traditional foods of Samarinda and drinks.

6. Mahakam Lampion Garden
It's so amazing for this place. we can see the beauty of lampion lamp with various shape and also the entrance fee is also cheap. Lampion Garden is place located near Mahakam River.

7. Pampang Culture Village
Pampang is a cultural tourist area of Dayak located approximately 20 km from Samarinda. Pampang is an interesting cultural park to undestand the life of Dayak tribe. Visitor can see attractive dance performance by the tribe's children, teenagers and adults. The show is performed in a traditional house of Dayak called Lamin.
After watching the show, visitor also can take picture with dancers or people of Dayak long ears. Once the photo , you have to spend Rp. 25.000.
We can go around in the traditional house and look for souvenirs that you can take home. There are key chain, bag, necklaces, bracelets, rings and many more.
8. Buddhist center Samarinda
Buddhist Center which has a building area of 10,600 meters. For the main building, it consists of Graha Sakyamuni to worship all Buddhists. In the monastery there are three Buddhist pratima and ballrooms on the third floor that can accommodate more than 1000 people. Buddhist Center will also be a center of education and training on the second floor. Buddhist Center will be religious tourism and cultural tourism. This building will be a part of the relationship of Buddhists to all levels of society
This building has 5 floors. The first floor for the public, the second floor for sunday school , the third floor for ballroom and the fifth holy place.
